Terms of Service
Plain language. No legalese theater.
Last updated: March 2026
What This Service Does
ClawDrop hosts files you upload and gives you a URL to share them. That's the service.
The Rules
- Don't upload illegal content. This includes but is not limited to: CSAM, malware designed to harm others, content that violates copyright law, content used for harassment or threats.
- Files expire. Default is 7 days. Maximum is 90 days. When a file expires, it's deleted. We don't keep backups of expired files. If you need permanent storage, this isn't it.
- We hash-check uploads. Every file is SHA-256 hashed and checked against a blocklist of known-bad content. If your upload matches, it's rejected.
- We can delete anything, anytime. If we determine content violates these terms, applicable law, or threatens the service's operation, we will remove it without notice.
- Rate limits exist. 60 uploads per hour per IP address. If you need more, get an API key.
- File size limit is 100 MB. Free tier caps at 50 MB. Hard technical limit is 100 MB.
What We Don't Promise
- Permanence. This is ephemeral storage. Files disappear. Plan accordingly.
- Availability guarantees. We run on Cloudflare's edge, which is reliable, but we make no SLA commitments.
- Data recovery. If your file expires or is deleted, it's gone. We cannot recover it.
- Content moderation beyond hash-checking. We don't review uploads. We check hashes, not content.
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for the files you upload. If you upload something that gets us a legal notice, we'll comply with the law and remove it. If you're a repeat offender, we'll block your access.
Changes
We may update these terms. We won't email you about it (we don't have your email). Check this page if you care.
